I wanted to build an awesome place for people to discuss module specific issues, but I don't have any more time for this, and there are much better places to discuss Perl-related issues. I'd recommend asking your question on Stack Overflow or on Perl Monks.
If you are looking for a Perl tutorial or Perl-related news, I hope these links will serve you well.

Installation problem: uses cc instead of gcc
Hello
my installation fails at the make stage.
How do I make the installation to us gcc instead of cc for which I don't have a licence?
best regards
nicolas

I get this message:

Re: Installation problem: uses cc instead of gcc

Imager uses ExtUtils::MakeMaker, which uses the C compiler used to build your perl.

You might be able to get it to build Imager on your platform using GCC by supplying CC, CFLAGS and probably other options to Makefile.PL, but I have no idea what options would be required for your platform.

Re: Installation problem: uses cc instead of gcc
Thank you for the hint
That's what I was suspecting. The problem is that I build PERL on the same machine without using the cc compiler, as I don't have a licence, real strange. I'll have to do some other research.
I'm really looking forwars to use your module.
Best regards
