I wanted to build an awesome place for people to discuss module specific issues, but I don't have any more time for this, and there are much better places to discuss Perl-related issues. I'd recommend asking your question on Stack Overflow or on Perl Monks.
If you are looking for a Perl tutorial or Perl-related news, I hope these links will serve you well.

Icons and Descriptions
Is there a built-in function to allow icons to be associated with descriptions. I've been looking over Weather::Com documentation and the documentation from Weather.com XML feed, but I can't seem to find it. I don't mind writing statements to correspond descriptions with Icons, but that seems kind of long winded. Also, if I need to write statements is there complete lists of descriptions available: "Mostly cloudy, partly cloud, etc." Any help/direction would be great. Thanks.

Re: Icons and Descriptions
Hi,

1. Complete list of descriptions:
Weather.Com themselves do not provide any list of valid descriptions. BUT to be able to do some localization I collected an almost complete list of descriptions. This list can be found in the L10N files (e.g. 'Weather::Com::L10N::de').

2. Mapping icon to description:
As Weather.Com does not provide a list of valid descriptions, they do not provide a mapping, too.
For what purpose could one need such a mapping? For each weather condition you always get an 'icon()' method and a 'description()' method...
There would be sensible possibilities to implement such a mapping - if there is a real need for it!

Re: Icons and Descriptions
Hi,

1. Complete list of description:
I guess I didn't dig deep enough. Thanks for point out the L10N.pm files, those help a lot.

2. Mapping Icon to description:
The icon() method works like a charm.

Thanks for your quick response. Weather::Com is a great tool. Keep up the good work.
