Just a small observation:
When checking the example I had to change sample1.pl line 7
from
use Table;
to
use PDF::Table;
Also it seems that the pdf which comes with the package archive is not identical with the output of sample1.pl.
(I'm using cygwin and PDF-API2-0.57)
