I wanted to build an awesome place for people to discuss module specific issues, but I don't have any more time for this, and there are much better places to discuss Perl-related issues. I'd recommend asking your question on Stack Overflow or on Perl Monks.
If you are looking for a Perl tutorial or Perl-related news, I hope these links will serve you well.

Stupid formatting of posts -Wiki please
Hi,
I just finished a lengthy post (actually my first, because PAR::Packer has had an established mailing list, but we gladly embrace the shiny, all-new technology of CPAN Forum [1] :). It took me 10 minutes to write and then I had to fiddle for an additional 5 minutes with the idiotic HTM(Hel)Lish markup. Just to have it acccept the post at all (I daringly had used a numeric -ge operator) and not having it look like one giant paragraph.
This is insane. Can we puh-leeze have some simple Wiki formatting rules:
- a blank line starts a new paragraph
- some simple markup for bullet lists
- simple markup for bold/italic words

Or just - absurd idea - plain text.

Cheers, Roderich
[1] Actually Forum is a throwback to my times on Multics (look it up on Wikipedia) in the early eighties.

Oh boy, I turned on mail notification for PAR::Packer and now I get these half-assed HTML posts forwarded as text/plain mails, i.e. including all HTML markup, but not as an HTML document. Very usefull :(
