Hi,
I just finished a lengthy post (actually my first, because PAR::Packer has had
an established mailing list, but we gladly embrace the shiny, all-new technology
of CPAN Forum [1] :). It took me 10 minutes to write and then I had to
fiddle for an additional 5 minutes with the idiotic HTM(Hel)Lish markup.
Just to have it acccept the post at all (I daringly had used a numeric
-ge operator) and not having it look like one giant paragraph.
This is insane. Can we puh-leeze have some simple Wiki formatting rules:
- a blank line starts a new paragraph
- some simple markup for bullet lists
- simple markup for bold/italic words
Or just - absurd idea - plain text.
Cheers, Roderich

on Wikipedia) in the early eighties.
