Error during run - CPAN::Forum

I wanted to build an awesome place for people to discuss module specific issues, but I don't have any more time for this, and there are much better places to discuss Perl-related issues. I'd recommend asking your question on Stack Overflow or on Perl Monks.

Error during run

I get this error when I run the geocoder: Can't call method "seq" on an undefined value at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/Geo/Coder/US.pm line 248. I am getting this in Linux 9 (Shrike). Any thoughts?

I have gotten the same error using debian 3.1. It works on my osx 10.4 box and on debian 3.0. I tried installing dbo but it required more than i think was necessary.

Same error on WinXP Win32 ActivePerl 5.8... any ideas?

make sure that this line in your script

Geo::Coder::US->set_db("geocoder.db")

points to the database with the correct full path. I had to edit the example scripts to change it to

Geo::Coder::US->set_db("/usr/local/geocode/geocoder.db")

because my db was in a nfs share mounted on /usr/local/geocode
