I wanted to build an awesome place for people to discuss module specific issues, but I don't have any more time for this, and there are much better places to discuss Perl-related issues. I'd recommend asking your question on Stack Overflow or on Perl Monks.
If you are looking for a Perl tutorial or Perl-related news, I hope these links will serve you well.

Installation
Hello. My system in located in a secured environment w/o access to ftp. Does anyone know of an alternate method of installation (ie, using rpms). Thanks.

Re: Installation
Thanks for the info, David. I forgot to include that I am using RHEL (5.3). Do you know of a package for it as well? -Randy

Re: Installation

I am not aware of a distribution for RedHat, sorry. Best I can suggest is that you download the tarball from CPAN, scp it to your box, and then build it manually.

Re: Installation
Is CPAN setup for manual install (using a tarball) w/o access to ftp? If so, do you have a howto for the procedure? Thanks.

Re: Installation
I recall the last post. I got it to work by using a URL in place of FTP.
