I'm happy to announce that the first Debian packages are available. Config::Model 0.633 is now available in Debian Sid (unstable) as libconfig-model-perl. The other Config::Model modules will follow soon (except Config::Model::Xorg which needs a lot of work). C::M::TkUI, C::M::CursesUI and C::M::Itself are done but still in transit in Debian's ftp-master queue.
On the CPAN front, I've released recently:
* Config::Model::Itself 1.207 (2009/01/09): Added allow_empty parameter. Minor corrections related to Augeas integration.
* Config::Model::CursesUI) 1.102 (2009/01/05): Remove dependency on Error (fix RT 42142) Added screen to edit ordered checklists (requires Curses::UI 0.9606).
* Config::Model version 0.633 (2008/12/23): Added -allow_empty parameter so starting a configuration from scratch can be allowed by configuration model designer. No longer die if 'augeas' backend (or any other optional backend) is not found. Just emit a warning.
Speaking of Augeas, I'm still working on integrating Config::Model and Augeas. This task is not trivial as the configuration representation as tree are somewhat different in Augeas and Config::Model. And I've been delayed by a nasty Augeas bug related to locales. But I've good hopes of being able to release the "bridge" between Augeas and Config::Model this month (Config::Model::Backend::Augeas)
All the best
