I wanted to build an awesome place for people to discuss module specific issues, but I don't have any more time for this, and there are much better places to discuss Perl-related issues. I'd recommend asking your question on Stack Overflow or on Perl Monks.
If you are looking for a Perl tutorial or Perl-related news, I hope these links will serve you well.

soap-lite upgrade to 0.710.05 causes '500 read timeout' error
On a Windows Server 2003, we have activestate perl v5.8.8. By default, SOAP::Lite is installed, v0.55-r1. We attempted to upgrade to v0.710.05 using ppm. Our SOAP app, which was working, now returns after a while with a '500 read timeout' error. We downgraded, back to the original install version. It worked again. We upgraded to the only other available version through ppm, which is v0.69. Our SOAP application is working with this version.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of error before, with this particular upgrade to v0.710.05, or some other version after 0.69?

I reviewed the CHANGES file, but could not find anything obvious that would cause this error.

Please advise where I should look next to see what the problem could be. Thanks in advance!
