Maintenance of HTML::Element

The last four tickets created on rt.cpan.org for HTML::Tree have been from me (all about HTML::Element, which is the only part I am using). To date there has been no response from PeteK, and nor has he replied to the mail I sent him directly two weeks ago.

Evidently, Pete is busy with other things, but does anybody have any suggestions how to proceed? I have applied fixes to my local copy which pass all the module tests (though I've not written any further tests).

One of the reasons I want to pursue this is that I have also been doing work with Anthony Peacock on HTML::Table, and I want to release a module HTML::Element::Table that I have written, which is an HTML::Element with HTML::Table as a mixin. But this will not work without my changes to HTML::Element.

I've looked at http://cpan.org/misc/cpan-faq.html#How_maintain_module, and it is all good sense, but does not really tell me how to proceed.

Any suggestions?
