Error installing IO:TTY module on HP-UX

Trying to install IO:TTY on HPUX. Was able to run perl Makefile.PL but errored out on make with error - cpp: "/opt/perl/lib/5.8.3/PA-RISC1.1-thread-multi/CORE/perlio.h", line 108: error 4065: Recursion in macro "PerlIO". Any advise
