Problem installing List::Util

... on s390 / Linux 2.4.21/ perl 5.8.0 The last couple lines of the tests (via CPAN install) are: t/weak.....ok 22/22panic: magic_killbackrefs during global destruction. t/weak.....dubious I have no idea what that message means. Can anyone help?
