I wanted to build an awesome place for people to discuss module specific issues, but I don't have any more time for this, and there are much better places to discuss Perl-related issues. I'd recommend asking your question on Stack Overflow or on Perl Monks.
If you are looking for a Perl tutorial or Perl-related news, I hope these links will serve you well.

Bad PPM for Want 0.12
ActiveState reports that the PPM version of Want 0.12 is supposed to be fine:
  http://ppm.activestate.com/BuildStatus/5.8-W.html
However, if you use it and then try to install Object::InsideOut via CPAN, you get errors as reported in the following thread:
  http://www.cpanforum.com/threads/3287
If you remove the PPM version of Want, and then install it via CPAN, no errors occur with either Want or Object::InsideOut.

Is this an issue of some test case not covered in the Want test suite?
Also, what is the matter with the PPM version of Want, and how can it be corrected?

This is being done with ActivePerl 5.8.8 build 819, Nname, and Dev-C++ for the compiler system.
