I am not very sure that i am supposed to post in this section since the subject i am asking for help overlaps much on the field. Back to the topic, i am currently doing an mini project in my undergraduate studies. In this particular project, i am planning to develop a online community. In this web community project, i am trying to use XML as my data storage that reside in server while using Perl as the query language to extract information from the XML based databases. Meanwhile, CGI scripts are written in Perl to collect information from users and store as XML documents. I am trying to add a chatbox and forum in the project for registered user to express ideas and so on. Please give some opinions on the web technologies that i should use. Thank you.
