Installed CPANPLUS and tried running it on an older system with 192Meg memory, stripped down version of Windows NT4 and latest cygwin. Tried it twice, each time it ran out of memory.
Went back to CPAN - no problems.
I heard there were plans to dump CPAN and replace it with CPANPLUS - big mistake. CPANPLUS needs to go on a major league diet and lose some bloat before it becomes viable alternative to CPAN.
