I wanted to build an awesome place for people to discuss module specific issues, but I don't have any more time for this, and there are much better places to discuss Perl-related issues. I'd recommend asking your question on Stack Overflow or on Perl Monks.
If you are looking for a Perl tutorial or Perl-related news, I hope these links will serve you well.

Installation not possible because directory not valid
Hello, I want to run Bugzilla on a oracle database. I've installed a Oracle 10gR2 database on a ubuntu system. The database is running well.

I need to install DBD::Oracle module. In every case I've tried to install the module I get the message

The ORACLE_HOME environment variable value (/home/oracle/product/10gR2) is not valid. It must be set to hold the path to an Oracle installation directory on this machine (or a machine with a compatible architecture). For an Instant Client install, the directory should include an sdk subdirectory. See the appropriate README file for your OS for more information. ABORTED!

But this is the Oracle_Home Folder. So I cant understand the problem. Do I need the InstantClient as well?

Thx for your help

Regards Ben
