I have prefer_future set to 1, and I am passing in '11/17' (today's date is 12/23/09). I assumed that it would come back with 11/17/2010. Why, instead, is it coming back 2009 since that date is in the past. It's not the end of the world, but that's the behavior I hoped for. Thanks in advance.
