Running ActivePerl-5.8.8.820 on Windows XP Pro SP3. ReadPassword-Win32 works fine to obtain a password from the console. However, if I subsequently prompt for additional input from the console (not using ReadPassword-Win32), the script goes into streaming the input prompt continuously without opportunity to enter input. Must be killed with Cntl-C. The same script works correctly if it doesn't use ReadPassword-Win32. It appears that the console state is not restored correctly after ReadPassword-Win32 is finished. Any advice how to overcome this?
